Ways to Encourage Girls into Computing in comprehensive schools
Looking at after school clubs/events/competitions to encourage confidence in girls and their abilities in computing. Also looking at the use of role models in industry to show career possibilities.
I am Head of KS3 Computing at Morecambe Community High School.

Moderator for GCSE Computer Science Edexcel and CEOP Ambassador
I have been working with CAS Lancaster (Lancaster University) as a Honorary Teaching Partner since September 2015.
I have run several successful girls computing groups since 2012 – I have been involved in competitions such as Technovation Challenge, First Lego League, TeenTech Awards and Cisco Little Big Awards. Most recently I have run a ShrimpingIt girls group.
