Dr. Steve Bunce is first and foremost a teacher. He has taught in primary and secondary schools, held ICT roles for a local authority and been a senior leader in schools. He has worked for The Open University and held associate lecturer posts with Durham University and Northumbria University, for their initial teacher training courses.

Looking at current research and practice, we will look at opportunities for teaching both block- and text-based languages.

Dr. Steve Bunce is first and foremost a teacher. He has taught in primary and secondary schools, held ICT roles for a local authority and been a senior leader in schools. He has worked for The Open University and held associate lecturer posts with Durham University and Northumbria University, for their initial teacher training courses.

Steve has provided consultancy for many organisations, including the BBC, Apple, Apps for Good, EdExcel and European SchoolsNet. He is an author for Scholastic, Bloomsbury, OUP, in addition to presenting computing workshops for the SSAT, Apple and Computing at School hub conferences.

Teaching and learning is at the heart of Steve’s work with schools and he aims to keep it practical and fun!
